TCS NQT follows an Integrated Test Pattern for entry-level hiring at TCS. Based on test performance, candidates can qualify for one of the following hiring categories:

• Prime

• Digital

• Ninja

The final offer category will be determined based on the candidate’s overall performance throughout the selection process.

Eligibility Criteria

Academic Qualifications:

• TCS NQT is open to students graduating in 2025 with the following degrees from AICTE/UGC recognized universities/colleges:

  • Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech)

  • Bachelor of Engineering (B.E)

  • Master of Technology (M.Tech)

  • Master of Engineering (M.E)

  • Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A)

  • Master of Science (M.Sc/M.S)

Academic Performance:

• Minimum aggregate of 60% or equivalent CGPA in all academic stages (10th, 12th, Diploma (if applicable), Graduation, and Post-graduation (if applicable)).

• No pending backlogs/arrears at the time of the TCS selection process.

• No extended education is allowed; candidates must complete their courses within the stipulated duration.

Other Criteria:

• Age Limit: 18 to 28 years

• Gap in Education: Overall gap should not exceed 24 months. All gaps must be declared and justified with relevant documents.

• Course Type: Only full-time courses are eligible.

• Open Schooling: Candidates from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) are eligible if Graduation/Post-graduation is completed full-time.

• Work Experience: Up to 2 years of prior work experience is allowed (applicable for Post-graduate students).

Application Process

1. Log in to the TCS NextStep Portal

2. Register and Apply for the Drive:

   • Scenario A: Already registered? Log in with your TCS Reference ID (CT/DT) and complete the application. Click on ‘Apply For Drive’.

   • Scenario B: New user? Click ‘Register Now’, choose the IT category, fill in your details, and click ‘Apply For Drive’.

3. Select Test Mode: Choose In-center mode, select 3 preferred test centers, and apply.

4. Track Application: Confirm your status under ‘Track Your Application’. It should display ‘Applied for Drive’.

Note: Test center allocation depends on availability.

The TCS NQT is an integrated test comprising two sections:

• The Advanced Section is mandatory for candidates aspiring for Prime or Digital offers.

• Based on test performance, candidates will be shortlisted for interviews in Prime, Digital, or Ninja categories.
